Board Members
The CRIX International Board of Directors has the following membership:- James Bland is the Executive Director of CRIX International, and has more than 20 years of work experience in both the government and private industry, including technology development, international finance, marketing and strategic analysis. He has been a key leader in the vision, creation, and progression of CRIX International. Prior to his current work, James has held several prominent positions in different companies including Ergonomixx, Datalux, Corstone Capital, and Science Applications International Corporation, where his work included development of electronic health record (EHR) systems, as well as web-based information exchange platforms for various markets. James' work experience encompasses countries in the Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe, and Asia. James earned an MBA from Harvard Business School after graduating cum laude from Wake Forest University with a BA in Politics and French.
- Deb Bremer is Vice President of Development & Medical Informatics for Pfizer, Inc. She leads a global team of professionals who provide informatics strategy and services spanning pre-clinical safety testing through all phases of drug development, regulatory submissions, external healthcare, medical affairs, and commercial therapeutic area support. Prior to joining Pfizer, Deb held positions of increasing responsibility in General Dynamics' Data Systems Division and Computer Sciences Corporation's Technology Management Group. She holds a BS in Computer Science from the State University of New York, and an MBA with a concentration in Management and Organization from the University of New Haven, Connecticut.
- Sue Dubman is currently Vice President, Information Technology and Informatics at Theravance. Sue has more than 15 years experience in life sciences and health care. Her experience includes leading cross-functional teams of colleagues, participating in drug discovery, development and regulatory approval. Prior to Theravance, Sue was Director of Biomedical Informatics Applications at the National Cancer Institute. Sue has also served as a Chief Information Officer at 3 other companies, an information services company, and an e-commerce startup providing Internet-based health care products and services in partnership with the United Nations and the World Health Organization. Sue completed work towards her PhD at Brown University in population sciences and received her MA and BA from the University of Missouri, where she also taught statistics and computer science courses.
- Diana L. McKenzie is Vice President, Information Systems Infrastructure, for Amgen, Inc. Diana has responsibility for leading the global development and delivery of Amgen's Information Systems Infrastructure Services. In her role, she leads a team that plans, develops, deploys, and operates a variety of IT services. Prior to joining Amgen, Diana served for 17 years in a variety of Information Systems Leadership roles at Eli Lilly. She has chaired the PhRMA Trade Association's Information Management Leadership Committee (IMPACC), served on the PDUFA III IT FDA Advisory Committee as well as the Department of Health and Human Services Biosurveillance IT Working Group, has led the PhRMA IMPACC e-Health Futures Subcommittee, and recently joined Purdue University's School of Technology, Executive Advisory Board. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University's School of Computer Technology in 1986 and was recognized by the university as a Distinguished Alumni in the spring of 2004.
